Saturday August 29th, 2020 – 5th Annual Police Support Recovery Walk

5TH Annual Police Support Recovery Walk

B.A.C.K. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization who is devoted to making a difference in the community. We are supporting the 5th Annual Police Support Recovery Walk. This event gathers The Center for Addiction Recovery and Education Success—CARES— in Warren County, NJ and Safe Harbor in Easton, PA, along with the Easton and Phillipsburg Police departments. The annual walk has grown to also include the Easton and Phillipsburg emergency responders and firefighters. CARES works to engage and organize the recovery community by helping individuals find, maintain and enhance their recovery experience, through peer support, educational and volunteer opportunities and sober recreation. They also work to reduce the stigma associated with substance abuse through advocacy, education and service.

The event is also timed in observance of International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31 each year. It aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death. It also acknowledges the grief felt by families and friends remembering those who have died or had a permanent injury as a result of a drug overdose.

We would be grateful if you could make a monitory donation. With your support, B.A.C. K. hopes to raise $1200 needed to purchase shirts for the walk being held on August 29, 2020. Please contact John Pantaleo at 484-894-4918 if you would like any information on B.A.C.K., the Annual Police Support Recovery Walk or CARES.

Thank you in advance for your contribution.
